Bhubaneswar: The Indian Meteorological Department’s (IMD) regional centre here issued rain and thunderstorm activities for several districts of Odisha from February 25.
The alert has been sounded for Sundargarh, Deogarh, Angul, Dhenkanal, Keonjhar, Mayurbhanj and Jajpur.
Besides, the IMD has also issued yellow warning for the districts.
According to IMD’s forecast, dry weather is most likely to prevail over the districts of Odisha till February 24. However, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at one or two places over the districts of Bargarh, Jharsuguda, Sundargarh, Sambalpur, Deogarh, Keonjhar and Mayurbhanj on the same day.
Similarly, light to moderate rain or thundershower is very likely to occur at a few places over the districts of North Odisha and at one or two places over the districts of South Odisha on the next day.
There will be no large change in the minimum temperature (night temperature) during next 4 to 5 days over the districts of Odisha, said the IMD.
