Following a violent group clash in Sundargarh town, the district administration has suspended internet services across the city for 24 hours starting from 6 pm on Thursday.
The clash broke out around 11 am near Regent Market under the Sundargarh Town Police Station jurisdiction after a petty quarrel escalated. Members of two groups resorted to stone-pelting, and some reportedly attacked each other with swords, leaving the road strewn with stones and boulders.
At least 12 people, including four police personnel, were injured in the violence. The injured were shifted to a nearby hospital for treatment.
