Thiruvananthapuram: Senior IAS officer Sarada Muraleedharan is set to be appointed as the next Chief Secretary of Kerala, succeeding the current Chief Secretary, V Venu.
Muraleedharan, a 1990 batch IAS officer, presently holds the position of Additional Chief Secretary (Planning). She is also the spouse of the outgoing Chief Secretary, Venu.
Her appointment as the next Chief Secretary is scheduled following Venu’s retirement on August 31, according to a statement from the Chief Minister’s Office.
The decision was made at a cabinet meeting presided over by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Wednesday.
