Sambalpur: The micro-containment zone tag from the hostels of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) have been reportedly lifted.
After clarification that the earlier COVID19 tests were faulty and none of the students has been infected, the Sambalpur district administration removed the containment restrictions.
However, amid the confusion, the authorities postponed another examination of final year students of the institution, scheduled to be held on the day. Earlier, the university authorities had postponed the examination of final year students, which was scheduled to be held on March 1.
Days after reports hit the headlines that 25 students of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology (VSSUT) at Burla tested positive for COVID-19, additional chief secretary (Health) Pradipta Mohapatra on Tuesday said that the positive reports came due to faulty coronavirus testing kits.
