The CRPF Group Centre, Bhubaneswar, hosted the 18th phase of the national ‘Rozgar Mela’ today at the CSIR–Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology, where 349 newly selected candidates received appointment letters for various Central Government posts.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the event through video conferencing and symbolically dispatched more than 61,000 appointment letters to new appointees across the country. He described Rozgar Mela as an institutionalized platform for employment generation and highlighted India’s status as one of the world’s youngest nations, continuously creating new opportunities for its youth.
“These appointment letters are not just jobs; they carry the responsibility of nation-building and realising the vision of a Viksit Bharat,” the Prime Minister said.
In Bhubaneswar, Union Minister of Tribal Affairs Jual Oram graced the occasion as Chief Guest and personally handed over the appointment letters. The 349 selected candidates will join various central organisations, including CRPF, Assam Rifles, CISF, ITBP, SSB, BSF, ESIC, DFS/SBI, Health/AIIMS, and FCI.

Addressing the gathering, Oram congratulated the candidates and urged them to serve with integrity, discipline, and dedication. “Rozgar Mela is providing meaningful opportunities for our youth to showcase their talent and secure stable employment. Utilising the energy and skills of young India remains a top priority of the government,” he said.
The event was attended by senior officials, including Goutam Patra, Chief General Manager and Convenor, SLBC Odisha; Bharat Bhushan Sethi, Deputy Inspector General, CRPF; Prof. (Dr.) Satyajeet Misra, Dean (Research), AIIMS Bhubaneswar; and representatives from ESIC, FCI, ITBP, and BSF Odisha Frontier.
