A shocking incident has rocked the serene tourist destination of Baliharchandi in Puri, where a young woman was allegedly gang-raped. The incident, which has sparked widespread outrage in the Brahmagiri area, led to the detention of three individuals by the local police. According to reports, the incident occurred on Friday when a young woman, accompanied by a male companion, visited the popular Baliharchandi beach and temple area. Four youths from the nearby Chandiput village allegedly photographed the couple and used the images to blackmail them. The group is accused of subsequently gang-raping the woman. Following the complaint, the police detained three suspects identified as Rahul Sahu, Shiba Sahu (sons of Sankar Sahu), and Adya Behera (son of Anu Behera). The alleged mastermind behind the crime remains at large, with the police intensifying their search.
