Prateek Yadav, the younger son of Samajwadi Party founder Mulayam Singh Yadav, has announced his intention to divorce his wife Aparna Bisht Yadav. The statement was made through a strongly worded post shared on Instagram on Monday, triggering widespread online discussion.

In the post, Prateek accused Aparna of damaging his relationship with his family and alleged that she married him to gain public recognition and influence. The claims reflect his personal statements and have not been independently verified.

“I am going to divorce this selfish woman as soon as possible,” Prateek wrote. He further alleged that his family ties were affected after the marriage and questioned his wife’s intentions.

Allegations Shared on Social Media

Prateek also spoke about his mental health, stating that he is currently going through a difficult phase and feels unsupported. In the post, he alleged that Aparna “does not bother” about his condition and accused her of being focused only on herself.

Aparna Bisht Yadav, who joined the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2022, has not responded publicly to the allegations at the time of publication.

Background

Prateek and Aparna were married in a high-profile ceremony in 2011. Over the years, Aparna has remained active in public life and politics, while Prateek has largely stayed away from the political spotlight.

As of now, there has been no official confirmation of divorce proceedings from either side. The matter continues to unfold, with reactions pouring in across social media platforms.
