Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to visit Saudi Arabia from April 22-23, 2025, marking his third official visit to the Kingdom.
The visit comes at the invitation of Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman and follows Prince Salman’s State Visit to India in 2023 during the G20 Summit.
India and Saudi Arabia share a long-standing diplomatic and trade partnership, with increasing collaboration across defence, security, energy, technology, health, and education sectors. The India-Saudi Arabia Strategic Partnership Council, established in 2019, has further strengthened bilateral cooperation, fostering high-level exchanges in various domains.
During this visit, PM Modi is expected to discuss regional and global issues, alongside exploring avenues to enhance investments, deepen strategic relations, and expand trade opportunities between the two nations. The meeting will also focus on India’s energy security, leveraging Saudi Arabia’s position as a key crude oil supplier.
The visit underscores India’s commitment to fortifying ties with the Gulf nation, reflecting the growing importance of Saudi Arabia as a strategic ally in India’s foreign policy.
