Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs 12,200 crore on Sunday, January 5, at approximately 12:15 PM in Delhi.
According to a press release from his office, the Prime Minister will take a ride on the Namo Bharat Train at around 11:15 AM, starting from the Sahibabad RRTS Station to the New Ashok Nagar RRTS Station. PM Modi will inaugurate the 13 km Delhi-Ghaziabad-Meerut Namo Bharat corridor, valued at approximately Rs 4,600 crore. This is the first Namo Bharat connectivity for Delhi, aimed at enhancing regional travel between Delhi and Meerut, providing safer, faster, and more comfortable transit for millions.
Additionally, he will inaugurate a 2.8 km stretch of Delhi Metro Phase-IV between Janakpuri and Krishna Park, valued at around Rs 1,200 crore. This marks the first phase of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, which will benefit areas in West Delhi, including Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri.
PM Modi will also inaugurate the 26.5 km stretch of the Rithala-Kundli section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV, worth around Rs 6,230 crore. This corridor will connect Rithala in Delhi to Nathupur (Kundli) in Haryana, enhancing connectivity in the northwestern parts of Delhi and Haryana.
Furthermore, the Prime Minister is set to lay the foundation stone for a new state-of-the-art building for the Central Ayurveda Research Institute (CARI) in Rohini, New Delhi. The construction of CARI will cost around Rs 185 crore and will provide modern healthcare and medicine infrastructure.
