Kandhamal: Ahead of the Assembly Election in Odisha, PM Modi addressed the Vijay Sankalp Samabesh in Kandhamal on Saturday and targeted the ruling party’s misgovernance and disrespect towards the state’s rich culture.
Commencing the event, PM Modi paid homage to Narishakti and expressed his gratitude to Tula Bahra Ji, a mother with nothing of her own, who honoured him. In an act of respect and humility, the PM also bowed down to Padma awardee Purnamasi Jani during his visit to Odisha. He extended his heartfelt thanks to the mothers of the country for their blessings of womanhood and motherhood.
Modi dared Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik to name the districts and their headquarters without the help of any paper.
“I challenge Naveen Babu to name the districts of Odisha without seeing a paper. The CM, who cannot even name the districts and its district headquarters without a piece of paper, how far will be able to understand the pain and suffering of the people,” questioned PM Modi.
“Today I am fortunate that upon coming to Kandhamal, I have received such blessings that I cannot forget throughout my life. This blessing is a living example of the kind of change that is taking place in the entire country,” he said.
“I assure you that I will repay this debt of your love and blessings by working as hard as I can and serving the country. Along with this, I will repay by working hard day and night to make Odisha a developed state in the country”, Modi added.
Confiding in the public, PM Modi recalled, “25 years ago today, Atal Ji’s government conducted nuclear tests in Pokhran, showcasing India’s strength to the world. While India demonstrated its potential, the Congress continues to sow fear by suggesting Pakistan’s possession of nuclear weapons.” Criticizing Congress for its softened stance, PM Modi stated, “They repeatedly try to frighten us, warning about Pakistan’s atomic bomb. However, Pakistan is struggling to manage its situation. They’re even trying to sell their bombs, but no one wants to buy them because of their poor quality.”
Discussing a sensitive issue, PM Modi expressed “7 decades ago, rules were established for the management of the Shri Jagannath Temple. Among these rules was the maintenance of records for all temple assets, including gold, silver, and precious stones. The last evaluation of the treasure in Shri Ratna Bhandar took place 45 years ago, revealing an abundance of jewellery and gems deemed priceless. Surprisingly, the inner chamber keys of Shri Ratna Bhandar have been missing for the past 6 years. The state government claims to have found duplicate keys, but how and by whom they were made remains unknown. Despite handing over the investigation to a commission, the Odisha government has not made the report public. The BJP is committed to addressing this issue, and we ask, why is the BJD government avoiding it?”
“What compels the state government to hide the truth? Who are they trying to protect? Today, I promise the people of Odisha and the nation that under the BJP government, transparency and the reputation of Shri Ratna Bhandar will be restored. This is Modi Ki Guarantee,” the PM established.
PM Modi halts his speech to praise a kid who came dressed as PM Modi, saying, “You look better than me – I don’t even look like you” Additionally, he also received gifts from the spectators and said, “There is art in every house of Odisha”.
He is scheduled to attend the public meetings in Bolangir and Bargarh today.
