Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday publicly lauded Union Home Minister Amit Shah for his powerful address in the Lok Sabha, where Shah detailed the government’s counter-terror operations — Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev — that recently led to the elimination of Pakistani terrorists behind the Pahalgam attack.
Taking to X (formerly Twitter), the prime minister said:
“In this remarkable speech in the Lok Sabha, Home Minister Amit Shah Ji gives important details about Operation Sindoor and Operation Mahadev, which have played a vital role in eliminating cowardly terrorists. His address also focuses on our Government’s efforts towards keeping our nation secure.”
Shah’s speech earlier in Parliament disclosed that all three Lashkar-e-Taiba terrorists involved in the April 22 Pahalgam massacre, which claimed 26 civilian lives, were neutralised in an intelligence-led operation near Srinagar on July 28.
The prime minister’s endorsement comes as part of the government’s broader messaging around national security, counter-terrorism, and projecting a zero-tolerance stance on cross-border terrorism.
The statement also signals strong alignment between the top political leadership on India’s evolving internal security doctrine — with Modi reinforcing the significance of Shah’s detailed briefing in Parliament during the Monsoon Session.
