Prime Minister Narendra Modi today laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth over Rs 48,520 crore in Karakat, Bihar.

Speaking at the event, he emphasised the government’s commitment to transforming Bihar’s infrastructure, enhancing security, and empowering farmers and the poor.

PM Modi underscored the importance of modernising Bihar’s transportation network, highlighting key projects such as the expansion of Patna Airport, the construction of new highways and bridges, and significant rail infrastructure upgrades. He also spoke about India’s fight against terrorism, referencing recent operations and reaffirming his dedication to national security.

A major focus of the projects is Bihar’s electricity sector, with substantial investments in power generation, including a new NTPC thermal project. The Prime Minister reiterated the government’s efforts to boost the agricultural sector, particularly through initiatives such as the Makhana Board and the PM-Kisan Samman Nidhi scheme.

PM Modi assured the people of Bihar that the government will continue working towards peace, security, and development across the state, with the goal of eradicating Maoist violence and fostering economic growth.

In line with his commitment to improving rail infrastructure across the country, Prime Minister dedicated to the nation the 3rd Rail Line between Son Nagar – Mohammad Ganj worth over Rs 1330 crore, among others.
