On the fourth day of Navratri, Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for development works worth over Rs 1,22,100 crore in Banswara, Rajasthan.

The event marked a significant milestone in India’s infrastructure and energy transformation, with a special focus on tribal empowerment and economic reforms.

Addressing the gathering, Shri Modi paid homage to Maa Tripura Sundari and Maa Mahi, revered symbols of devotion and resilience in the tribal heartland of Kanthal and Vagad. He also honored the legacy of Mahayogi Govind Guru Ji, Maharana Pratap, and Raja Bansia Bhil, highlighting their enduring influence on India’s tribal communities.

⚡ Energy Projects Worth Rs 90,000 Crore Unveiled

The Prime Minister announced the launch of power projects across Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Maharashtra, signaling a new chapter in India’s energy sector. In Rajasthan, clean energy initiatives and transmission lines were inaugurated, including solar energy projects and the Rajasthan Atomic Power Project in Banswara.

“This is Urja Shakti in action,” Shri Modi declared, aligning the event with Navratri’s celebration of divine energy.

💰 GST Reforms Bring Tangible Savings

Shri Modi emphasized the impact of GST reforms, comparing pre-2014 taxation with current rates:

  • Daily essentials: Rs 100 worth of goods cost Rs 131 earlier; now Rs 105—saving Rs 26.
  • Footwear: Rs 500 shoes once cost Rs 575; now Rs 525—saving Rs 50.
  • Motorcycles: Rs 60,000 bikes once attracted Rs 19,000 tax; now only Rs 10,000—saving Rs 9,000.
  • Cement: Rs 300 bags taxed at Rs 90 earlier; now Rs 50—saving Rs 40.

He highlighted that these reforms have empowered families, especially women, to manage household budgets more effectively.
