During his visit to Kuwait, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with an Odia worker at the Gulf Spic Workers Camp.
PM Modi greeted Babul, who is from Ganjam district in Odisha, with the phrase ‘Jai Jagannath’ to start their conversation.
Babul introduced himself and mentioned that he has been working in the Metal Department of Gulf Spic for the past 16 months. He expressed gratitude to the Prime Minister for giving Odisha the opportunity to host the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas Convention in 2025, which will allow the state to showcase its rich culture to the world.
Babul credited India’s rapid growth to the Prime Minister’s leadership, but Modi emphasized that it is the effort of 1.4 billion Indians that drives the nation’s transformation. He also praised Babul, noting that individuals like him who send money back home while working abroad contribute significantly to India’s growth.
