New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed immense joy and pride over India’s exceptional performance in the International Maths Olympiad, where the country secured its best-ever 4th place finish.
The Indian contingent brought home four gold medals and one silver medal.
In an X post, the Prime Minister said, “It’s a matter of immense joy and pride that India has come 4th in its best-ever performance in the International Maths Olympiad. Our contingent has brought home 4 Golds and one Silver Medal. This feat will inspire several other youngsters and help make mathematics even more popular.”

Education Minister Odisha MP Dharmendra Pradhan congratulated the team on X and wrote, “Congratulate the six-member Indian team of high school students for securing fourth rank globally and registering the best-ever performance by India at the International Maths Olympiad. Kudos to the mentors and teachers. This is a gift from our students on Guru Poornima”.
“The accomplishments of Team India is a matter of great pride and joy. I am sure this will encourage, inspire and motivate other students to excel on the global stage”, he added.
