Bhubaneswar: Even as the skyrocketing fuel prices have triggered widespread distress across the country, the price of petrol has touched Rs 100-mark in Odisha Capital, Bhubaneswar, burning deep holes in the pockets of common man.
The rate of petrol has increased by 36 paise in the last 24 hours in Bhubaneswar.
Today, the price of petrol has been recorded at Rs 100.01 per litre while the cost of diesel has been recorded at Rs 97.25 per litre in the capital city of Odisha.
It is to be noted that, the petrol price has remained above the grim mark of Rs 100 per litre in 20 districts of Odisha. Malkangiri has continued to record the highest petrol price per litre at Rs 105.08.
The common people are distressed as the fuel prices are increasing at an alarming rate.
