New Delhi: Petrol and diesel prices remained unchanged across the country for the fourth day in a row on August 28, according to a price notification by state-run oil companies.
Petrol price in Delhi was cut to Rs 101.49 a litre and diesel to Rs 88.92 per litre on August 24. The prices remained the same on August 28 in the national capital.
In Mumbai, fuel prices witnessed a similar trend. The petrol price remained unchanged and retailed at Rs 107.52 a litre. The financial hub, on May 29, became the first metro in the country where petrol was being sold for more than Rs 100 per litre.
Diesel price also remained the same being sold at Rs 96.48 per litre in Maharashtra’s capital.
Across the country as well, fuel prices remained unchanged on Saturday, but their retail rates varied depending on the level of local taxes in each state.
