The Subhadra scheme, launched by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in September 2024, aims to empower over one crore women aged 21-60 by providing them with financial assistance totaling Rs. 10,000 in two installments.
During the launch, PM Modi highlighted that this initiative is a part of Odisha’s broader focus on women’s empowerment, aligning with the state’s development goals and national initiatives such as increased medical seats and improved rural connectivity.
This scheme is expected to make a substantial positive impact on the lives of women, fostering economic independence and supporting their contributions to the state’s progress.
