Bolangir: One person is in critical condition, while five others sustained injuries after a vegetable-laden pick-up van turned turtle near Kandhabahal Chhak, under Kantabanji police limits in Bolangir district on Wednesday.
According to reports, the pick-up van was en route from Kantabanji to Sindhekela market, carrying vegetables, when the driver lost control of the vehicle, causing it to overturn near Kandabahal Chhak. The truck veered into a roadside farming field.
In the incident, Radhe Satnami, a vegetable trader, was critically injured, along with four others who sustained various degrees of injuries. All of them are vegetable sellers from Satnami Pada.
The injured persons were immediately rushed to Kantabanji Hospital in an ambulance. Kantabanji police officials have initiated an investigation into the incident.
