Two senior officers from the Housing & Urban Development (H&UD) Department, Government of Odisha, are actively participating in the Asian Development Bank’s Water and Urban Development Forum (AWUF) 2025.
The prestigious forum is being held at the ADB Headquarters in Manila, Philippines, from May 27 to 30.
With the theme “Valuing Water & Enhancing Liveability in Asia and the Pacific,” the four-day event gathers global leaders, policymakers, and experts to discuss innovative and sustainable urban development practices.
Representing Odisha at the forum are Mr. Debasis Singh, Additional Secretary, and Mrs. Sikha Biswal, FA-cum-Additional Secretary. Notably, Mr. Singh has been invited as a speaker in a key thematic session titled “Housing for All: Transforming Lives, Economies, and Communities.” His inclusion as a panellist underscores Odisha’s growing leadership in inclusive housing and urban transformation.
Their participation reaffirms Odisha’s commitment to adopting global best practices in water management, urban governance, and sustainable housing. The state continues to expand its presence in international platforms, strengthening its policies and initiatives to create resilient urban spaces.
