Odisha Tableau Display: HT&H Dept Clinches Top Honours at State-Level Parade

In a vibrant celebration of Odisha’s cultural and developmental strides, the Handlooms, Textiles & Handicrafts Department has won the 1st prize in the state-level parade tableau display, earning accolades for its stunning portrayal of the state’s rich heritage.


Hon’ble Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi personally congratulated the team led by IAS Guha Poonam Tapas Kumar, Commissioner-cum-Secretary, for their exceptional presentation. The tableau showcased Odisha’s traditional artistry, weaving legacy, and indigenous craftsmanship, captivating audiences and judges alike.

The Housing and Urban Development Department secured the 2nd prize, recognized for its forward-looking tableau emphasizing sustainable urban development and enhanced quality of life. The award was presented by CM Majhi to IAS Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, and IAS Dr. Thirumala Naik, Vice Chairman of the Bhubaneswar Development Authority.

Their tableau highlighted smart city initiatives, inclusive housing, and green infrastructure—underscoring the department’s commitment to transforming urban landscapes across Odisha.

The Commerce and Transport Department earned the 3rd prize, with its tableau reflecting the state’s dynamic progress in commerce, connectivity, and transport modernization. CM Majhi felicitated IAS Usha Padhee, Principal Secretary, and IPS Amitabh Thakur, Transport Commissioner-cum-Chairman of the State Transport Authority.

The display spotlighted Odisha’s expanding transport networks, digital logistics solutions, and efforts to streamline mobility for citizens and businesses.
