Dry weather will prevail across Odisha over the next seven days, according to the India Meteorological Department (IMD).
The agency reported that hill station G. Udaygiri in Kandhamal district recorded the lowest temperature of 4.8°C in the past 24 hours, while six other cities registered below 10°C.
The IMD’s Meteorological Centre in Bhubaneswar confirmed that minimum temperatures will rise gradually by 2–3°C during the next two days, with no major changes expected thereafter. This warming trend signals the easing of the lingering winter chill across the state.
Officials noted that no fog was reported in the past 24 hours. The rise in nighttime temperatures is expected to bring relief, particularly in coastal and southern districts where cooler nights have persisted.
The IMD emphasised that Odisha has already experienced above-normal minimum temperatures in recent weeks. With the latest forecast, residents can expect milder nights and more comfortable conditions as the winter season draws to a close.
