Bhubaneswar: The Odisha National Cadet Corps (NCC) contingent is all set to showcase its talent and discipline at the Republic Day Parade on Kartavya Path, Delhi, on January 26, 2025.
Led by Colonel Debabrat Moitra, the contingent comprises 127 cadets selected from a pool of 75,000 across the state. These cadets are undergoing rigorous training at the Sainik School Parade Ground in Bhubaneswar.
The selection process was highly competitive, involving multiple rounds of physical tests, drills, firing, and cultural events. The chosen cadets have been training intensively for the past three months, with sessions lasting 10 to 12 hours daily. Their synchronized movements and disciplined practice sessions reflect the spirit of a cohesive team.
Colonel Moitra expressed his confidence in the contingent, stating, “These cadets have shown remarkable dedication and discipline. We have left no stone unturned in their training, and I am hopeful they will bring immense pride to Odisha.”
The cadets will represent Odisha on the national stage, participating in various events, including the Prime Minister’s Rally and cultural competitions. Their participation not only highlights their excellence in NCC but also showcases the rich cultural heritage of Odisha.
As the final preparations are underway, the cadets are filled with excitement and determination to perform their best and make their state proud at the Republic Day Parade 2025.
