The 44th India International Trade Fair (IITF) 2025, held at the Bharat Mandapam complex in New Delhi from November 14 to 27, is showcasing the vibrant spirit of ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ through innovative contributions from Odisha’s Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
Under the auspices of the state’s Information and Public Relations Department, the Odisha Pavilion features 26 stalls from various government departments and affiliated organisations, with four dedicated to MSME entrepreneurs highlighting sustainable and traditional products.
These four MSME stalls represent a diverse array of Odisha’s entrepreneurial talent: Gaumay Paints from Bargarh district, Craft Indica from Bhubaneswar, Elite Crunchies from Berhampur, and the Odisha State Palm Jaggery Cooperative Society Ltd. Each stall is drawing significant attention from visitors, buyers, and industry partners, fostering business opportunities and promoting eco-friendly innovations.
Gaumay Paints, specialising in environmentally friendly paints made from cow dung in various colours and types, has garnered widespread praise for its innovative approach. The stall has already engaged in successful business discussions with entities such as Tripura’s Industry Department, Arihant Paints from Rohtak in Haryana, A.L.M. Enterprises and R.K.G.D. Enterprises from New Delhi, along with other government and private institutions and individuals.
Continuing its popularity from previous years, the Odisha State Palm Jaggery Cooperative Society Ltd. is offering health-beneficial palm jaggery, which visitors are purchasing in large quantities. Items crafted from palm leaves are also attracting keen interest. Building on this appeal, the stall representatives have held talks with Harmeet Singh from New Delhi to explore further collaborations.
Berhampur’s Elite Crunchies has initiated promising business dialogues with major organisations, including the Airports Authority of India, Power Grid Corporation, Ashoka Hotel in New Delhi, and Nut Sec, signalling potential expansions for their products.
Bhubaneswar-based Craft Indica, featuring contemporary designs in silver filigree jewellery, has become a favourite among women visitors from all walks of life, blending tradition with modern aesthetics.
Among the four MSME stalls, Gaumay Paints focuses solely on product display, while the other three have collectively achieved sales exceeding Rs 3 lakh as of November 24, underscoring the growing market demand for Odisha’s MSME offerings.
This participation not only highlights Odisha’s commitment to sustainable development and cultural heritage but also strengthens inter-state ties under the ‘Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat’ initiative, positioning the state’s entrepreneurs on a national stage.
