In a significant move to strengthen child welfare and digital governance, Odisha Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida today launched the ‘Amari Sishu’ web portal under the Department of Women and Child Development at the State Women and Child Institution.
The platform aims to streamline data collection by enabling Anganwadi workers to upload real-time information about children under their care. This digital database is expected to support better planning and execution of child nutrition, care, and protection services across the state.
Through this initiative, key welfare schemes like Mission Vatsalya, Yashoda, and Aashirbad Yojana will be integrated, offering centralised access to support systems related to child safety, justice, and care. Officials noted that the portal would play a critical role in addressing malnutrition and ensuring developmental support from grassroots levels upward.
The launch event was attended by senior officials and child welfare stakeholders, marking a progressive step toward Odisha’s vision of inclusive and data-driven governance for its youngest citizens.
