The Odisha Home Department has announced the transfer and posting of three senior IPS officers who have returned from central deputation.

The latest reshuffle sees key appointments in strategic positions within the state police force.

According to an official notification, Susanta Kumar Nath (RR-1993), who recently completed his tenure with the Government of India, has been appointed Director General of Prisons & Correctional Services. His experience in law enforcement and correctional management is expected to bring significant improvements to the department.

Dayal Gangwar, a 1998-batch IPS officer, has been reassigned as Additional Director General of Police, Communication. Previously serving as ADGP at Headquarters, Gangwar’s expertise in police administration and communication systems will be crucial in enhancing coordination and operational efficiency.

Additionally, Prateek Mohanty (2000 batch IPS officer), who also returned from his central deputation, has been appointed ADGP, Headquarters. His new role will involve overseeing critical administrative functions and supporting law enforcement strategies across the state.

These appointments are expected to strengthen law enforcement capabilities in Odisha, ensuring enhanced governance and public security.
