As temperatures soar across Odisha, ten cities have reported temperatures of 37°C or higher, with Boudh standing out as the hottest place today, reaching a blistering 38.2°C, according to weather scientist Umashankar Dash.
In a scorching day for the state, Bolangir followed closely with a sweltering 38.1°C, while Angul recorded 37.9°C. Titilagarh reached 37.6°C, and both Bhadrak and Jharsuguda reported 37.5°C. Other cities facing intense heat included Jajpur at 37.2°C and Baripada, Sonepur, and Bhawanipatna, each hitting 37°C.

The State capital, Bhubaneswar, experienced a high of 36.1°C, slightly exceeding the 35°C mark. Meanwhile, Cuttack City had a relatively cooler day, with temperatures recorded at 34.2°C.
Weather forecasts indicate that the heatwave is expected to persist over the next few days, with residents advised to take necessary precautions to stay safe.
The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has stated that there will be no significant change in maximum (day) or minimum (night) temperatures for the next 4-5 days in Odisha.
