Rural Development Minister Rabi Narayan Naik has issued a stern warning to senior officials, emphasising that any failure to complete assigned projects within the stipulated timeframe will result in departmental action.
During a recent departmental review, the Minister made it clear that accountability lies with the officers if deadlines are missed. He stressed that the government will not tolerate delays in rural infrastructure development.
The Ministry has set an ambitious target to construct between 30,000 to 40,000 kilometres of roads by 2036. Additionally, under the Setu Bandhan Yojana, plans are underway to build 500 new bridges to improve connectivity in remote areas.
Minister Naik reiterated that timely execution is not just a goal but a responsibility, and any laxity will be met with consequences.
