The Government of Odisha has designated Bhubaneswar as the headquarters for the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th battalions of the Odisha Industrial Security Force (OISF).
Officials made this decision under clause 3(3) of the OISF Act, 2012 to improve administration and ensure smooth operations of the newly formed units.
By choosing Bhubaneswar as the central hub, the state strengthens its industrial security infrastructure. The battalions will coordinate operations more efficiently, manage logistics effectively, and respond quickly to security needs across Odisha’s industrial zones.
The state created the OISF to protect both government-owned and private industrial establishments, including their employees and assets. With the addition of these battalions, the force expands its reach and reinforces Odisha’s commitment to secure its growing industrial landscape.
The Governor issued the administrative order to centralize command and streamline operations. This move supports Odisha’s broader goal of safeguarding its industrial ecosystem through robust and responsive security mechanisms.
