Bhubaneswar:Â The Odisha Government on Monday enhanced the daily dietary charges of one prisoner from Rs 64 to Rs 80.
In a letter, Deputy Secretary to Govt of Odisha, Home Department, Ashok Kumar Beura has asked the D.G. Prisons & D.C.S., Odisha in this regard.
“After careful consideration, the government has been pleased to enhance the cost of dietary charges from Rs 64 to Rs 80 per prisoner per day at exiting 2816.74 Kcal, the prescribed calorie content recommended by NIN, Hyderabad prospectively,’ the letter read.
The authorities of Directorate of Prisons and Correctional Services have been asked to take action accordingly.
