Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has brought filling, distribution, and transportation of liquid medical oxygen cylinders under the Essential Services Maintenance Act (ESMA) for 6 months.
A Home department order on Wednesday said the State Government in the interest of public has taken the step to prohibit strikes in the services of manufacturing, filling, and transportation/distribution of Liquid Medical Oxygen by the manufacturers, transporters, and fillers during the current coronavirus pandemic.
This has been done for the purpose of ensuring smooth manufacture, filling, and transportation, distribution of Liquid Medical Oxygen in the state and to avoid any hindrance or dislocation in such services, the order further read.
