Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a significant increase in the gratuity for teachers and staff at government-aided schools and colleges in the state.
According to the Chief Minister’s decision, the death and retirement gratuity for both teaching and non-teaching staff has been raised from Rs 5 lakhs to Rs 7.5 lakhs.
This move follows requests from various teachers’ unions urging the state government to address their demands. The Chief Minister’s approval comes as a delight for employees of government-aided educational institutions with the beginning of the New Year 2025.
