The Odisha government has enacted a minor reshuffle within the Indian Administrative Service (IAS) cadre, assigning additional responsibilities to several key officials.
According to a notification from the General Administration and Public Grievance Department, Samarth Verma, a 2011-batch IAS officer currently serving as the Director of Technical Education and Training, has been entrusted with the additional charge of Director of Minor Minerals. Verma also holds the position of Managing Director at the Odisha Film Development Corporation.
In another appointment, K. Sudarshan Chakravarthy, also from the 2011 IAS batch, has been designated as the Managing Director of the Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited. Prior to this, Chakravarthy served as the Director of Minor Minerals.
Additionally, Shubham Saxena, a 2013-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the Director of Agriculture and Food Production, Odisha. Saxena previously held the role of Managing Director at the Odisha State Civil Supplies Corporation Limited, along with the additional charge of Additional Secretary to the Government in the Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Department.
