In a major administrative shake-up, the Forest, Environment & Climate Change Department of Odisha has issued transfer orders for 34 Deputy Conservators of Forests (Dy.CFs) with immediate effect.
The reshuffle spans across territorial and wildlife divisions, aimed at optimising field-level governance and operational efficiency.
Among the notable changes:
- Smt. Kshama Sarangi, previously DFO Nayagarh (Territorial), will now serve as Dy.CF in the Office of PCCF & HoFF.
- Shri Debarchan Behera, earlier DFO of Kuchinda (KL), has been posted to Nayagarh (T).
- Smt. Kiranbala Samantray has been shifted to DFO, Nabarangpur (KL).
- Shri Binod Acharya will now oversee Chandaka (WL) Division and RPRC, Bhubaneswar.
- Shri A. Uma Mahesh moves from Baripada to Jeypore (KL).
The directive mandates immediate relieving of officers, with local arrangements facilitated to ensure continuity.
This strategic realignment reflects Odisha’s ongoing commitment to strengthening forest conservation, wildlife protection, and climate resilience through effective personnel deployment.
