Odisha CM Naveen Visits Hospital To Meet Puri Firecracker Explosion Victims
Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik visited victims of the cracker blast in Puri, extending his support at Sum Hospital in Bhubaneswar. He inquired about their health and wished them a speedy recovery.
The Chief Minister also announced Rs 4 lakh ex-gratia for each of the kin of those who died in the mishap.
Altogether 36 persons have been admitted to nine different hospitals in Cuttack, Bhubaneswar, and Puri. As per the latest reports, three patients succumbed to their injuries on Thursday morning.
The entire cost of treatment is borne by the state government, including the cost of treatment in private hospitals.
