Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister and Biju Janata Dal (BJD) president Naveen Patnaik will hold roadshow in Bhubaneswar on May 16 and seek votes for party candidates for the upcoming election.
As decided, the BJD supremo’s roadshow will begin from Ganga Nagar Chhaka and pass through the LIC Office, Gopabandhu Chakka, DAV Chakka, Nuasahi, Behera Sahi, Nicco Park Chhaka and Baya Baba Matha Chakka and conclude at the Ruapli Chhaka on Janpath Road.
“Chief Minister’s roadshow is scheduled to be held on May 16. The roadshow which will begin from Ganganagar Chhak will culminate in Janpath after passing through Bayababa mutt. The roadshow will be held in the jurisdictions of Nayapalli, Capital, Saheed Nagar police stations in Bhubaneswar (Central) Assembly constituency,” informed Bhubaneswar DCP Prateek Singh today.
Singh said that all kinds of security arrangements will be put in place for the CM’s roadshow.
“We will ensure that the VIP visit programme is conducted smoothly with complete security arrangements. Access control measures will be taken up at places where there will be public gatherings. Barricades will be put up at all places where VIPs will be addressing the public. The carcade will be cordoned off during movement. Senior officers will be deployed at all important places to ensure that no sabotage takes place. Our men will be deployed on all high-rise buildings along the route. We will ensure that there is no obstruction on the road during the roadshow,” Singh explained.
