Bhubaneswar: In a shocking revelation, Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Majhi has accused the previous Biju Janata Dal (BJD) government of attempting to assassinate him by hurling bombs. The incident allegedly took place in Sundargarh, where Majhi claims he narrowly escaped death due to divine intervention.
Speaking at a public event in Sundargarh, CM Majhi stated, “The former BJD government hatched a plan to eliminate me by hurling two bombs. By God’s grace, I survived the attack unhurt. It is by divine will that I am now serving as the Chief Minister.”
Majhi, a senior leader of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has been vocal about his opposition to the previous BJD administration. He criticized the former government for misusing funds and failing to deliver on development promises. “The BJD destroyed Sundargarh in the name of development, siphoning off the district mineral fund,” he alleged.
Despite the alleged assassination attempt, Majhi remains focused on his mission to develop the state. “I am entrusted with the responsibility for the overall development of Odisha. My priority is to ensure the welfare and progress of our people,” he affirmed.
The BJD has yet to respond to these serious allegations.
