In a move aimed at improving the welfare and morale of Home Guards in Odisha, Chief Minister Shri Mohan Charan Majhi has announced a hike in the daily duty call-up allowance for Home Guards across the state.
According to an official statement from the Chief Minister’s Office, the daily call-up allowance has been increased from ₹612 to ₹623. This revised allowance will be implemented retrospectively, effective from January 1, 2025.
The decision reflects the state government’s commitment to recognizing the services of Home Guards, who play a vital role in assisting the police force, maintaining public order, supporting disaster response, and participating in various law enforcement duties.
The Chief Minister expressed confidence that this modest yet meaningful revision would not only provide financial relief to the Home Guards but also encourage better performance and dedication among the ranks.
