Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi watched the premiere of the Hindi feature film *Godaan* at his official residence in Bhubaneswar on Wednesday evening and was visibly moved by its message.

Addressing the media after the screening, the Chief Minister announced that *Godaan* will be made tax-free across Odisha. He also declared that a dedicated Cow Research Centre will be established in the state very soon.

Describing the film as a “complete family entertainer”, CM Majhi said, “*Godaan* beautifully connects children with their parents while delivering a powerful message about the core values of Sanatan Dharma.” He praised the film for its portrayal of social values, cultural traditions, and family ethics, adding that such films play a vital role in raising social awareness and strengthening cultural understanding in today’s times.

The Chief Minister urged the youth to watch *Godaan* with their families, emphasising the need to prioritise cultural sentiments in society.

The premiere was attended by Steel and Mines Minister Bibhuti Bhushan Jena, film director and producer Vinod Kumar Choudhury, several MLAs, and other distinguished guests. The film is scheduled for theatrical release on February 6, 2026.
