The Council of Higher Secondary Education (CHSE) Odisha announced that the annual +2 examinations will begin on February 18 and continue until March 21.
Practical examinations will be held between January 2 and January 15, while students will receive their admit cards from December 15.
The announcement offers clarity for thousands of students across the state. The exams will cover all streams—Arts, Science, and Commerce—and the schedule provides adequate preparation time for both theory and practical assessments.
CHSE emphasised the importance of practical examinations, directing schools to complete all sessions within the designated period and ensure proper arrangements.
This year, 4,07,037 students will appear for the exams across 1,350 centres. To strengthen monitoring, the council confirmed that 210 hubs will remain under AI camera surveillance. Officials said the use of technology will enhance transparency and curb malpractice.
CHSE Controller of Examinations Prasanta Kumar Parida announced that each district will deploy two flying squad units, with three members in each team, to oversee the examinations.
The theory exams will run from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Students must enter the examination hall 30 minutes before the start time, and authorities will distribute answer booklets five minutes before the test begins, Parida added.
