The Odisha state cabinet is scheduled to convene a crucial meeting on November 21, where it will deliberate on significant proposals, including the passage of a supplementary budget to be tabled in the upcoming Legislative Assembly session.
According to well-placed sources, the Council of Ministers’ meeting, presided over by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi, will focus on approximately nine important proposals spanning seven departments. These proposals are currently in the preliminary stages of finalization.
Intensive preparations are underway across multiple departments, including Water Resources, Panchayati Raj, General Administration, Finance, and others, to ensure smooth proceedings. Officials from these ministries are working extensively to refine the agenda items ahead of the session.
The additional budget approval is expected to address pressing fiscal needs and policy priorities for the state, setting the stage for key legislative discussions in the winter session of the Assembly.
