Novak Djokovic will begin his bid for an 11th Australian Open title and a record 25th Grand Slam crown by competing at the Adelaide International from January 12 to 17, 2026.
The 38-year-old Serbian, currently ranked World No. 4, has previously won the Adelaide event twice, in 2007 and 2023.
Djokovic last captured a major in 2023 but reduced his tour appearances afterwards. Despite a lighter schedule, he still lifted trophies in Geneva and Athens this year, proving his enduring dominance. His return to Adelaide sets the stage for the opening Grand Slam of the year at Melbourne Park, starting January 18.
The Adelaide International will feature a strong field. Jack Draper, Joao Fonseca, Tommy Paul, and Stefanos Tsitsipas headline the men’s draw alongside Djokovic. On the women’s side, defending Australian Open champion Madison Keys leads the lineup, joined by top 10 stars Jessica Pegula, Mirra Andreeva, and Ekaterina Alexandrova.
Tournament director Alicia Molik highlighted the event’s growing stature. She said the 2026 edition reflects the Adelaide International’s prestige on the global tennis calendar, attracting elite talent from both ATP and WTA tours.
