Nitin Nabin has been elected as the new National President of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), becoming the 12th leader to assume the role.
The announcement was made at the BJP headquarters in New Delhi in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and senior party leaders.
Outgoing BJP president JP Nadda described the occasion as historic, praising Nabin as “young, energetic, and talented.” He added, “On behalf of myself and crores of party workers, I congratulate him.”
Celebrations marked the event at the party headquarters as Nabin officially took charge. Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his congratulations, highlighting Nabin’s leadership qualities and his potential to guide the world’s largest political party to new heights.
At 45, Nitin Nabin becomes the youngest national president of the BJP. Party leaders and workers expressed confidence that his tenure will bring fresh energy, vision, and commitment to organisational growth.
Union Minister JP Nadda also wished him success, saying, “Many congratulations and best wishes to you, Nitin Nabin. I extend my good wishes as you take charge as the party’s next National President.”
The BJP leadership emphasised that Nabin’s appointment reflects the party’s focus on youth, dynamism, and continuity in its organisational journey.
