Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari is set to visit Odisha on April 17 for a series of official engagements, including the Dr. Harekrushna Mahatab Memorial Lecture at Ravenshaw University in Cuttack and a review of ongoing National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) projects across the state.
During his visit, Gadkari will lay foundation stones and inaugurate several state government projects valued at approximately Rs 5,000 crore, along with 16 major NHAI projects aimed at enhancing Odisha’s road infrastructure. The announcement is expected to underscore the government’s commitment to improving connectivity and economic growth in the region.
Officials suggest that a significant policy announcement regarding road infrastructure development in Odisha is likely during his visit, adding to the ongoing modernization efforts in the state’s transportation sector.
