The Madhya Pradesh High Court has permitted the National Testing Agency (NTA) to release the NEET UG 2025 results, barring 11 examination centres in Indore that faced technical disruptions due to a power outage.

The decision comes after a petition from a student who claimed her performance was adversely affected. Initially, the court had paused the declaration of results nationwide, but later revised its ruling, allowing results for all unaffected centres to ensure timely counselling for aspiring medical students.

Justice Subodh Abhyankar ruled that withholding results entirely would be unfair to candidates across India who did not experience disruptions. However, the court mandated that the NTA submit detailed reports on the affected centres in Indore before considering any corrective action.

The next hearing on this issue is scheduled for May 19, where further deliberations on the fate of the impacted candidates will take place. Meanwhile, the NTA continues to address separate allegations involving over 250 NEET UG 2024 aspirants accused of unfair practices.
