Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today paid his humble tributes to former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh on his birth anniversary, which is celebrated as National Farmers Day for his efforts to empower farmers.

Every year on Dec 23, the National Farmer’s Day in India, also known as Kisan Divas in Hindi, is celebrated on the birthday of the 5th Prime Minister, Choudhary Charan Singh. Singh was a farmer’s leader, who introduced many policies to improve the lives of the Indian farmers.
