The Ministry of Earth Sciences (MoES) has reported significant progress under the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) 5.0, launched nationwide on October 2, 2025.
As part of the campaign, MoES conducted 54 cleanliness drives and reviewed over 500 files, leading to the disposal of 192 outdated records. The ministry also addressed 3 PMO references, 3 state government communications, 2 MP queries, and 9 public grievances. Efficient scrap management, including e-waste, generated revenue exceeding ₹33.23 lakhs and freed approximately 8,750 square feet of space.
Led by Joint Secretary Shri D Senthil Pandiyan, the campaign emphasizes administrative efficiency, transparency, and citizen-centric service. Nodal officers across MoES institutions are ensuring daily updates via digital platforms like social media, mobile apps, and the DARPG portal.
The campaign aligns with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s Swachh Bharat vision and pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi’s ideals. Shri Pandiyan stated, “The SCDPM is more than a campaign. It is a commitment to modernise governance and deliver public service with speed and transparency.”
MoES plans to continue its momentum with more cleanliness initiatives, streamlined workflows, and proactive disposal of pending matters. The ministry aims to set benchmarks in governance and public service delivery.
