Bhubaneswar: The Board of Secondary Education (BSE) has begun the process to award marks to Class IX and X students based on school tests and pre-board examination results respectively.
As per the directives from the BSE, the District Education Officers (DEOs) have ordered the headmasters of schools in their jurisdiction to submit the Tabulation Register of Class IX and X exams at the nearest exam centre.
The format as given by the BSE may be prepared in three copies within next one or two days at the Mentor school.
As per the decision, each copy will be prepared for DEO, Mentor school and Individual school.
Meanwhile, the Odisha Secondary School Teachers Association (OSSTA) has protested the move.
Worth mentioning, the Odisha government had earlier announced the cancellation of the BSE Odisha Class 10 board exams 2021 in view of the worsening Covid-19 situation in the state. The exams were scheduled to be held from May 3.
