A joint team of CRPF and DVF personnel raided a Maoist camp in the Chhatapani village jungle in Nuapada district and seized Maoist equipment.
Following intelligence inputs regarding the presence of Maoists in the dense Patadhara jungle under Boden Police Station, the Odisha police initiated a joint search operation early today. The operation, carried out by CRPF personnel and DVF combing teams, led to the discovery of a Maoist camp in the Chhatapani village jungle near Patadhara.
During the raid conducted at 11 am, authorities seized several items from the camp, including a handmade gun, a blood pressure monitor, batteries, two solar panels, grocery supplies, cooking utensils, clothing, torchlights, and electronic extension boards. The recovered materials are believed to support the Maoist group’s activities in the area.
Nuapada Superintendent of Police Gundala Reddy Raghavendra confirmed the successful operation and stated that such actions are crucial in combating Maoist presence in the region. Investigations are underway to gather more insights into the group’s plans and operations.
