Rajasthan’s Manika Vishwakarma has been crowned Miss Universe India 2025, succeeding Rhea Singha in a glittering finale held in Jaipur. She will represent India at the 74th Miss Universe pageant in Thailand this November.
In the decisive finale question round, Manika was asked to choose between prioritising women’s education or immediate economic aid for impoverished families, and defend her choice.
Her winning answer was clear and impactful:
“Two sides of the coin. Women have been deprived of education for generations, leading to poverty. If I have to choose, I will choose women’s education. Because educating one woman uplifts an entire generation, shaping the future of our country and the world. While both issues matter, we must act for the long run.”
Her thoughtful response earned thunderous applause and sealed her victory.
Other winners:
-
1st Runner-up – Tanya Sharma (Uttar Pradesh)
-
2nd Runner-up – Mehak Dhingra (Haryana)
-
3rd Runner-up – Amishi Kaushik
With this win, Manika joins the ranks of India’s beauty queens set to take the global stage later this year.
